Career and Achievements:

• Early Career: Alexei started training in martial arts at the age of 19 while studying at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He made his professional MMA debut in 1997 at the World Championship organized by the International Council of Absolute Fights (IAFC).

• Prominent Organizations: Throughout his career, Alexei has competed in numerous promotions, including Bellator Fighting Championships and M-1 Global. He earned heavyweight championship titles in organizations such as KSW and ProFC.

• UFC Career: In 2014, Alexei made his UFC debut with a victory over Anthony Hamilton via a submission. He became the first fighter in UFC history to win via the Ezekiel choke and remains the only one to achieve this feat twice.

• Skills and Style: Alexei is renowned for his expertise in combat sambo, grappling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He holds the title of Master of Sport of International Class in Combat Sambo and a 4th-degree black belt in jiu-jitsu. He has made the Ezekiel choke his signature move, successfully using it to secure 14 victories.
